Ready to use, high protein flavoured jelly ideal as a treat for reptiles or as food for invertebrates. ProRep Jelly pots are manufactured from a high quality vegetable gel which is then fortified with protein and flavoured using fruit extract or other natural flavours. They can be used as a food for a wide range of plant or fruit eating invertebrates and as a treat for herbivorous lizards. Directions: Remove the film lid before use. Always position the jelly pot in the enclosure so it is accessible to the animals. Remove uneaten jelly after 48 hours. Invertebrates: Place the open pot in the enclosure. Crested Geckos, Day Geckos, Anoles, etc: These species lick the jelly surface. for Other Species: remove the jelly by pressing on the bottom of the pot. It is best to feed the jelly on a dish to prevent contamination by the substrate.
The ProRep Silkworm Chow has been developed specifically for supporting Pre-Pack silkworm. Silkworm get all their nutritional needs and moisture intake from one specific food source, White Mulberry Leaves (Morus alba). With Silkworm being a soft bodied larvae it is important that they have a food source to help maintain them.
The ProRep Silkworm Chow is made with powdered mulberry leaves and has been fortified with vitamins and minerals to help keep Silkworm well nourished. In order to ensure the food is taken up by the Silkworm it is essential that the powder is mixed with water (1 powder, 3 parts water) and then brought to a boil to ensure the gelling agent sets properly. Once this has been done it is important to let the product cool to room temperature. The product will set like a rubbery gel and can be sprinkled into the Silkworm tub. They will not require much feeding, and it is best that all the food provided has been eaten, remove any uneaten food from the container. You will probably notice that the silkworms will produce noticeably more waste as a result of having food. Clean out as much as you can if the Silkworm are being kept in the tub for a few days. You will only need to feed the Silkworm once every 2 to 3 days, and can be maintain with as little as 1g of powder per a feed, per a tub.
