It is made for species that in the wild consume a significant amount of fruits and seeds from oleaginous plants (genera Psittacus, Ara, Poicephalus...).Daily intake ranges from 5 % to 8% of the animals body weight. Medium-sized species (like the African Grey parrot), consume between 20 and 40 g. Ambient temperature greatly influences intake.
